For anyone who knows me personally, you know I am a Laurie Berkner Band fangirl. My boys have been listening to Laurie and her band since they were born, and they know every song, every word, and every dance move by heart. I am equally enthusiastic about dancing around my kitchen with a pig on my head, marching like a dinosaur, or buzzing like a bumblebee. Out of our 3 nightly bedtime songs that we’ve been singing every night for the last 5 years, 2 of them are Laurie Berkner Band songs. So, just to clarify, I have sang “Moon, Moon, Moon” and “Goodnight” roughly 1,820 times EACH. We even met Laurie Berkner at a concert Meet and Greet last year, and my son STILL talks about it and asks when he is going to “take a picture with Laurie” again.
My boys are now 5 & 3 years old, and I know that my older son’s years of listening to children’s music are numbered, and I plan on squeezing every last moment out of those years. The Laurie Berkner Band creates music that we sing along together as a family to, and they make us look forward to the next time the band comes around town for a performance. We are so excited for the upcoming Holiday Celebration concert in Engelwood NJ, and we are introducing Laurie to some of our favorite baby friends, by bringing them along to the concert with us!
