Ready to plan an awesome birthday party?

By West Morris Macaroni Kid April 26, 2024

Here are some tips for planning an amazing birthday party for your toddler:

  1. Keep it short: Toddlers have short attention spans, so aim for a party that lasts no longer than a couple of hours.
  2. Invite a small group: It's best to keep the guest list small, as too many people can be overwhelming for a toddler.
  3. Choose a theme: Pick a theme that your toddler will enjoy, such as their favorite characters or animals.
  4. Plan activities: Have a few simple activities planned, such as a craft project, a sensory play activity, or a game.
  5. Consider the food: Offer a variety of kid-friendly foods, such as fruit, veggies, and small sandwiches or crackers.
  6. Have plenty of decorations: Use streamers, balloons, and other decorations to make the party space festive and fun.
  7. Don't forget the cake: A small, simple cake or cupcakes will be a hit with your toddler and their guests.

With some careful planning and attention to your toddler's interests and needs, you can throw an amazing birthday party that they'll love.

If you are looking for the perfect venue, let me share a review of my daughter's 7th birthday, hosted by Riverside Kids Gym this past October.

I can attest to the fact that hosting your party at Riverside Kids Gym is a completely STRESS FREE experience! The booking process is easy, they have 4-5 time slots on the weekend for parties and offer 3 different packages.

For my daughter Ella, we did the Mega Package, because she had a lot of friends to invite and the Mega includes the most kids (You can have a party for up to 25 kids at a time - the Mega includes 18 plus the birthday child).

We had the venue privately for 2 hours, and the Mega package included 30-minutes in their side room with the bounce house and other special equipment. For the hour that the kids were in the gym, Ella was able to choose 3 activities which were run by the staff, in addition to free-play. She chose 2 games and the ever popular ZIP LINE activity!  I only have a video of that which I can't seem to get to post here, but it was SO MUCH FUN!

The Riverside staff did all the setup, created amazing balloon displays and had the cutest paper products and goody bags created exclusively for her theme - which was "A Girls's Halloween" (she picked it!). They provided the pizza and juice boxes, and I brought the cupcakes.

It was a great party and several of her friends have since hosted parties there because it is the perfect party venue! They also have open play blocks each week where you can DROP YOUR KIDDO OFF!!! And, of course they do other special events like Parent's Night Out - definitely check them out!
