Beat the End of Summer Heat With a Visit to the Kartrite Resort

By Amanda Janke - Publisher August 5, 2022

There is still time this summer to make some great family memories and the Kartrite Indoor Waterpark and Resort is an amazing option! Less than two hours away from Morris County and a world away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, the Kartrite offers so much more than just a waterpark!

If you've been following along you know I was recently hosted, along with 14 other publishers, by the Sullivan Catskills. Our accommodations were provided by the Kartrite and did not disappoint. I've got a future trip in mind with my whole family!

Our room was lovely, bright, colorful and clean. The food was high quality and reasonably priced. The daily activities available onsite were plentiful and those requiring an additional cost were worth it. Of course what you most want to know about is the indoor waterpark. SO MUCH FUN! This indoor waterpark is smaller than others that are local-ish to our area, but it was incredibly clean, well organized and personally, I like the size because I would feel completely comfortable letting my kids go off on their own. I would also feel incredibly comfortable sipping a tropical cocktail at the second-level bar which overlooks the park, while they explore!

Did I feel guilty not having my kids along to enjoy the resort? Yes, because I know they would have loved it - but honestly - it was so awesome to let loose and enjoy some "me time" and I knew right away that I'd be making a return trip so they could enjoy it with me!

My personal favorite thing about the Kartrite was the outdoor entertainment area. I love that you didn't have to feel stuck inside and that after a long day of playing on the slides you could relax by the fire pits and roast S'mores. In fact, the Kartrite is kind of known for their S,mores - watch the video to see why! The Kartrite is also home to one of the stops (Number 47) on the Sullivan Catskills Dove Trail. If you are interested in hiking with a twist (and one the kids are sure to love) you should check it out.
